Substance Designer 4/8k Bitmap export??

Hey guys,
I want to export a at least 4k texture out of substance designer. I know that i can put "Base Parameters" higher to get 4/8/etc.k preview in Designer and than export the Bitmaps. For me this doesnt work, because the graph is more or less huge so Substance/my PC cant handle this. Is there any way or workaround to do this?

It's normal that it can take a couple minutes for the graph to recalculate when you go up to such high resolutions. Otherwise i'm afraid you need to upgrade your hardware. I heard that a GTX 1060 can handle 4k resolution graphs quite well and they arn't too expensive.

Hmm yea okay, I can understand the process in the software. But I thought maybe there is an trick or plugin which could help there. Like something which is working in background, exporting nice and smooth while calculating so you can still work on. But yea, then I will do it like the normal way xD thanks anyways for your help!

Something that might help would be you save your graph as "relative to parent" (so no absolute resolution) and export it as an sbsar. Then install and launch the Substance Player and choose the resolution that you want. The cooked version of your graph should be easier to handle than inside Substance Designer itself.

thanks! that is what I want. Worked great! problem was to have many textures for output and I dont want to wait 5min every time for calculating

Another trick in that case : disconnect your last node before the output nodes that you want to disable and press F5. This will force Substance Designer to flush its cache. Then double-click on the output node that you want to compute. Designer will then compute only the part of the graph needed by the outputs.

Hello. I'm currently experiencing the same issue. I tried @Froyok 's advice:

But I couldn't find any options in Substance Player to change the texture size. I double checked that my Render Engine is Direct3D 10 and set size limit to 4096 in the options menu. When I try to open the Export as Bitmap menu, it always displays 2048.

Should the option appear in the Parameters window? I only see an option to change Random Seed.

you need to expose the outputsize when you publish the sbs file to sbsar - in the dialog that pops up at publish time you'll see a tickybox
