I have an opportunity to work somewhere that is friggin' awesome but it's contract. The recruiter has health insurance but it's stupid expensive. Is any here have any recommendations for freelancer/contractor insurance? Any help/advise/experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yep, no fun at all but where I live (Australia) we're basically covered whether privately insured or not so I haven't had to give the subject much thought especially when working as a Portraitist on commission way back in the day.
