[WIP] Villanators-Mecha Malory

Starting a new thread which is to focus on my 3D pipeline on my original character, Mecha Malory, aka 'Servo Vixen'. Part of a larger universe.

So I have had an idea for her for a few years, I finally finished her and entered her into last year's Art War 2017 on Cubebrush.co.

Here is my concept:

Then I took Genesis V1, and sculpted out the curves in Zbrush. I also blocked in the basic shapes of the armor and cloth padding.

After this, I decimated her and used that low poly crude mesh as a reference to start blocking out hard surface in Maya. I usually do edge loops in various places and on more tricky bits which prove difficult in Zbrush.

I then take those pieces and subdivided them.


Then it is pretty much 100% Zbrush hard surface, if I need to go back into Maya I do, but for now I have not.

The latest update, lower belt is 98% done, rear module needs a bit more work.
