Direct folder plugin won't work in 3dsmax 2016

hello,i upgraded my 3dmax from 2011 to 2016, im using a plugin called direct folder (not 3dsmax plugin)
, with direct folder i can search my folder without getting headache searching for folder
but in 3dsmax 2016, i cant use direct folder for searching folder
same as in maya 2016
but in 3dsmax 2011 its work perfectly
its really frustated
so anybody has a solution??

Windows 8.1, Max 2016.
when i go to open file, i use shortcut (mine is double click), i double click it many time, the direct folder shortcuts wont show up
update:
i restart my max and now its working smoothly, i dont know my 3dsmax error or direct folder error
anyway in case it turns out to be not all that reliable a combination, you could give the alternative product Filebox Extender a try.

This is a 100% solution - I'll contact the devs and see if there's a fix.
Incidentally, this also affects Photoshop and probably a load of other applications, so it's a problem with Direct Folders software.
PS Do we all hate this admin stuff in Windows? It's a pain in the balls.
