3ds Max - Is it possible to scale snap vert to vert?

I'm trying to match the horizontal scale of the blue box to the see-through box, while at the same time uniformly scaling the blue box. Is it possible to scale snap from vert to vert while keeping the scale origin elsewhere? I need it to be precise.

I've sort of got a tool that does this. You would run the script. Select the first object and get the size on the axis you want. Then select the box you want to scale and press Set Size.

I think blender can snap scale to vertices the way you are intuitively thinking of it.

I'm curious though, since you mentioned Blender, were you a 3ds max user who is now a Blender user? I've been thinking of making the switch myself, but little things like the interface and not having FFD have been holding me back. Anyway, thanks for the help.

Blenders equivalent of Maxs FFD modifier is called the Lattice modifier.

I've learned a little Blender and a little Maya. I like them, but I'm most comfortable in Max. Where I work we let the artists use whatever tools they want. A couple of the guys flip between programs to utilize single features.

I usually place an 2x2x2 FFD Box modifier and then move with Vertex Snapping and Axis Constraints enabled, for each axis using the box's vertices.
