Yeah your right but,.... The suit you see here allows for definition to be shown, that would never be seen no matter how tight Cavil’s suit would be. It's not exclusive to Cavil’s suit either, as most superhero outfits receive enhancements of this sort, to ensure the physical nature of the character is displayed accurately regardless of the shot.
Its done in the movies so why not here? The figure above is fairly well exaggerated, but in the right way I reckon. Just my opinion.
