Anyone here tried Mainframe Bool for Maya?

Looking to buy the plugin. I was just wondering how does it behave on more complex geo? Does it break when there are alot of boolean nodes? I have seen the video they posted on Vimeo but they are pretty much working with bunch of primitive shapes like cubes and cylinders.

I own it. I can throw some more complex shapes at it if you want but its literally using the Maya boolean under the hood. It's just a better interface for dealing with it

I see. I guess I should still stick around with DC Bool Manager. I just wish Autodesk would sort out these booleans one day. Personally it has been the worst thing in Maya for me.

the booleans in maya arnt bad... they all use the same carve booleans... same tech as blender...

its the ui and usability...

they released a new plugin called pro sets... in combo with bool its really cool...

proly a bit late to the party but out of curiosity: what happened to those mainframe plugins? do they still exist under a different name, or did it get substituted by a different plugin?

I followed these guys a while back but AFAIK I think the developers who made MASH ended up at Autodesk, the other's working on Bool/Prosets probably went on to make Cavalry. Mainframe North seems to just be a creative house now, Cavalry seems to be developed by "scenegroup" who I suppose are a split off company/subsidiary.
