Hello,

This is my first polycount contest and I love Riot so what better time to join!! I'm going to be doing Infernal Kalista for mine, here are some mood boards I whipped up just now to prepare.

Just a couple small fixes before I start painting concept sheet, didn't like the angle of her spears before and fixed colors for portrait!! I'll be doing the works with her concept sheet before I dive into the illustration just for fun and all.

I like 1 & 2, but leaning toward 2 also, it has a good reading with the eye that keeps it coming back to Kalista without her taking up the entire space - while 3 makes me look at a lot of not Kalista and 1 I feel she's taking up too much of the space and it feels very crowded actually.

Thanks for the feedback! I definitely agree with you about 1 + 3, I could tweak them but honestly I really like the movement going on in 2 so I think I'll stick with it.

First pass, thinking of making the arm closest to us a bit bigger for perspective, the leg closest seems a bit off to me too? Maybe I need to lift it up more.

I agree with the arm change, if you can pull her hand forward a bit more toward the viewer and bring her arm in just a touch I think it'd work, and I understand about the leg, just something seems not quite right but I can't pin point it. But overall it looks awesome.

thank you! Yeah I'm definitely fixing the arm, going to mess around with some changes to her legs and see what sticks

Couple more changes to her body, still not completely satisfied but it is looking better. I'll start working on background for now and come back to it.

some tweaks and a bit of color !! I like the idea of her spear being like hot metal...

Love it so far!! I think the issue with the legs is that they're curved instead of straight. Good luck!!
