Hey guys, since it's the new year I'm going to start looking for new work.  I'm living in Japan right now, and I don't think I want to teach English for much longer.  I've got the feeling that my portfolio really lacks focus.  I'd like some help with what to cull, and just any criticism in general would be great.  I have a slight preference toward a character artist role, but I'm really happy doing anything.  It's kind of a dumb question, but I'm also kind of wondering if It's worth it for me to be applying for jobs right now, or if I should just focus on improving my portfolio more.

Any feedback you could give would be appreciated.

Yeah I think you really need to focus on what you want to do the most. If its characters you like doing I would cut everything else from your portfolio right away, looking at what you have at the moment the two characters are by far your best work anyway. Everything appears to have been posted in 2014/15 though so i would really consider cutting the lot and focus on doing a few new really high quality characters for your portfoio. I would also consider using artstation for your portfolio, the current one is not bad but I think a better layout would help a lot too.

Thanks, I kind of prefer characters, but all my professional experience seems to go to environments.
