Make your own normal map stamps for Substance Painter, possible?

The "hard surface" section in Substance Painter shelf is interesting. I would love to have ability to bake my own set of normal map stamps there. But is it possible? I know there is a technical way to be able to stamp normal map "alphas" so that they are correctly aligned no matter how rotated, because the ones that are included do just that.

I've made loads in designer.

You'll get basically the same results from height stamps if you're gentle with intensity though

I don't know if an ordinary static image normal map works like that, but I know that ones made inside of substance designer and saved as a .sbsar work fine regardless of orientation.

Any type of normal map will work (sbsar or simple bitmaps). Substance Painter will do the work to orient properly the stamp so that the shading is correct no matter the orientation of the mesh or the UVs.
