Maya Sculpt problem

hi guys,i am trying to sculpt in maya for learning purposes, but when i use the grab brush for example, i have this kind of result,this strange
"grab circle" that you can see in the video.
i didnt find how can i change this effect for a more free sculpt, alredy try to find in maya help but nothing help me

im sure what you are trying to do... thats how a grab brush is working...

the mesh only moves when i push out of the circle, i wanna remove that

You could increase the radius of the brush or lower the strength of the grab brush using the middle mouse button or the tool options panel. LIke oglu said, it's working as intended; it won't push anything until you start to move a direction.

if I understand correctly you want it to behave like the push and pull effect like Zbrush. You will have to change the Direction to Average Normal under Tool settings.
