been studying the animations in Nier Automata closely. very inspiring stuff.

result of my studies so far. block out at this point. I'll probably upsample to 60fps for final polish and render.

Looking cool, the only thing I would say is I didn't read the part where she throws her swords down into the ground.

Maybe, that has a bit more antic, so when she does her spinning strikes, the enemy is dazed and she then does an antic and unleashes her swords into the ground and then swoops in to grab them and finishes off the enemy.

I don't know, just a thought.

cool stuff man! Be careful with your arcs, because your motion is so fast you have to take extra care leading into and out of those quick moves, right now it feels a bit too fast because of that.

@Archanx Oh yea for sure. Some parts feel too fast because of shitty arcs at the moment, some parts are actually too fast. Push and shoved the timing and main poses more. dropped the throwing bit, too fast to read as part of the spin; and breaks the flow if I add a full antic for it. probably start the meat of polishing next.

I actually prefer your previous version - 2.1 - the timing on the mid air attacks was more interesting - in the current update they all have similar timing/ a similar pause after each attack

@KyleG you're right! I felt something was lost in 2.2 but couldn't put my finger on it till you mentioned the even timing. The arcs are too symmetrical as well.

It's looking nice! There are still some areas that could use a little love. The last slash still feels a bit slow and there's also a knee pop in her left leg on that same action.

you mean the last flourish? and the knee pop as she's standing up straight toward the end?

edit: yeah I was getting little sloppy in the last second and a half. tightened up the end flourish, and hit a couple other spots as well.

Did you animate this at 60fps from the start or switched to so 60fps later?

Hey man I gave some feedback on your shot on syncsketch but ran out of time - generally its great but imo you need to push your poses and line of action and add some more moving holds within the action so the viewer can see more of whats happening in the faster parts. I will try to give more drawovers in a bit! good work!

@WarrenG hey thanks for the draw overs! I was probably working on it while you were looking at 2.4 on syncsketch. I've tightened it up a little bit more since and addressed some of the things you mentioned. Definitely can push the poses and LoA more as you noted. I'll go over it one more time with your notes in mind.
