Hi guys,
i am looking for weapon tutorials paid or free :)
Kinda stuck at this stage.
I am wondering how to add details with clean sci-fi look :// i have substance painter/designer with some scifi height map brushes but it does not feel right.. mp40 was kinda easy but this is entirely different

    Designing a weapon and modeling a weapon are two completely different things - especially with the current high end specs allowing for a lot of detail, which can rarely be improvised on the spot.

    Now of course some design maestros can do both design and execution at the same time. But this is the exception and not the norm, and relies on years of design experience and the preliminary acquisition of a vast design vocabularies/libraries.

    In other words, don't improvise. Plan ahead. What do your model sheets look like ?

    To add to what Pior said, consider kit bashing a weapon together in Photoshop from photos of modern weapons and or some sci-fi stuff that fits your desired aesthetic.
