Zbrush freezes when attempting to dynamesh

Hey,

So I open up the project dynamesh032 to basically dynamesh this mesh:

i used max turn to poly (set to quads) and tried to import it into zbrush. When I load up the mesh and try to ctrl+drag to dynmesh it it basically freezes. It is possible with other meshes, that are less complicated. Any idea why it keeps freezing?

Dynamesh is based on mesh scale. If your model is enormous coming out of Max, then the projection grid will be much denser even at very low resolutions. Try scaling your model down by 1/10 or even 1/100th the size and freeze Xforms; or in ZBrush if you don't care about the size of your model compared to your source model in Max, you can use the Unify deformer under the Tool > Deformation palette to resize it (and then try Dynamesh again).

Perhaps the model is too big itself (in whatever units). Try to export into zbrush in bigger units or downscale
