zbrushcore and custom brushes

as I understand from the publications, zbrushcore cannot import custom brushes, but nowhere does it explicitly say that you can't create custom brushes. In fact, it says that zbrush can open zbrushcore brushes, so it's implied that you can create custom brushes in zbrushcore.
I was hoping someone with zbrushcore can confirm this for me, because if I can't even re-create my favorite brushes (like the orb cracks brush) I have serious doubts about the usability of zbrushcore...

It 'looks' kinda ok, but info about more advanced topic like brush customization is almost none.
But buy to find out that's kind of a strange solution though..I remember ZB got demo version for us to try, but it's not the case with ZBCore?
From what Lorenzo pointed to, it does seem like there's enough customization to be useful. I don't see a snakehook brush, but alas.
That's a huge problem...
