Substance painter to 3ds max work flow.

Hi guys.
Recently I made a chess piece so I could learn to texture but it seems like substance painter is unable to import an obj file.
I also wanted to know what should I do after I make a high poly mesh to make it a game ready model like should I unwrap it or bake maps etc.

You will need to make a low poly version if your high poly model is too heavy and unwrap this low poly mesh. You should then be able to bring it in Painter and bake your maps using the high poly mesh as reference.

Ideally, but you can also use other tools such as XNormal.
