Hey All, I'm a bit late to the party. I spent a couple of day deciding on what i wanted to make, cause I initially wanted to do a Samurai, but it had been done in competition already, I also wanted to do a cyberpunk character, but that was taken also, So I finally decided on a mix of the two.. A Cyberpunk Samurai maybe?? Update with Pics Soon.

so this is all of my reference.. so many great artists...
About halfway through the modeling of the head and body I had to retopologize, as I couldn't get the eyes to do quite what I wanted them to do, and as well as a couple of other face features.
The retoplogy also helped slightly with the body, as you can see from the very last image here. Mainly around the hands, and feet also the nipples became a bit easier to adjust, and the shoulders easier to raise.
after spending all of yesterday on the head, and upper body, i still need to add details to the hands. As well as get my concept design down for the actual clothing, etc. More to come soon.
I created the custom Arrangement Points and Bounding Volumes for him in MD, as it makes a lot of things significantly easier to model for the character.
Then I decided to go with Harem Pants style, I made them super low hanging to fit the Samurai Style a bit more though. I felt it would feel more cyberpunk this way over traditional samurai.
note: I may have to spread the legs wider to get a decent animated look when rigging them.
So I tried to go with the full clothing design, but after a while it felt too traditional, and not enough Cyberpunk.. so I decided to change everything. I wanted something more agile, and slim. so everything seen here is now gone.
After this, I decided the more agile decision would be something different like cybernetic feet.

so after I made the shirt, I decided to make it more like the one from the reference, so this is changing as well.
modeled out the base pieces for the boots.
and retopologized the arm so i could finish it.
