Help with texture looking really bad in viewport - 3ds Max

Hi!
I'm quite new to working with 3ds Max, and I've run in to this problem now where my textures looks really bad in the viewport (the darker the textures are, the worse they look).
I have tried raising the Texture Display Resolution under Viewport Configuration, tried switching driver to older drivers (currently have the Nitrous 11.0), and tried saving out the texture in different file formats.
I found another post on this forum that talked about disabling or changing the Gamma/LUT, but that didn't work either.

This is how it looks in 3ds Max (left) versus how the texture actually looks in Photoshop (right).

Any help is appreciated, thank you!
