[UE4] Sci-fi Walkway Environment

Hey all!
Started this project pretty recently with the intend of making a nice portfolio environment that I won't get bogged down work on for months and not finish.
Its based on a concept render by Steven Cormann https://www.artstation.com/artwork/wJ4J9
This is pretty early with no lighting work to speak of but just wanted to get a topic going and see if anyone had any thoughts so far.

Some more lighting changes, still not quite happy with it yet . Kind of want to nail the lighting before I move on to finish textures and add more assets though.
The extra props will add alot too, I wouldn't focus anymore on the lighting or reflections until then
No big crits for now. The one thing I can think of are the relatively dark materials used on the pillars and the structure. It makes your scene look a bit more scifi than the concept (especially with the shiny goldy part in the middle). Also, but that might be me, it reduces the effect of the darkening provided by the windows. In the concept it's quite clear the windows are darkening the sky a lot, it emphasizes the tunnel (they're probably even darker than yours, but with a fake cubemap added). In your version right now you have that too, but the pillars are even darker so it's not as strong visually. It might be purely personal taste though.
Hey Stu whats up man! Thinking about adding pipes in some other places maybe depending on how they look, but I didn't like the floor that much from the concept because I feel like wheels from suitcases and trolleys would catch them and in general it was not a friendly surface for large amounts of foot traffic.
Thanks Madwish, yeah I agree with about the darker surfaces I think that is more down to some of my post process effects and lighting, but I intend to fix them so its not as dark compared to the rest of the surfaces.
The hallway is looking fantastic, it looks like it's really close to being able to slide it right into a game.
Your hallway made me curious to look at some of your past work, and it really caught my eye because it seems like you generally post your projects step-by-step. I'm a design student nearing graduation and new to the design forum thing, but your work and process really inspired me to see if you were willing to give any advice. I was wondering if there is something that generally tells you that a project is ready to be posted onto these forums for critiques, or do you post seeking guidance? Do you show anyone offline to get their opinion first or do you go based on personal opinion?

Only advice I can give really is start a topic early on as long as you have something to show and update it often from then on, just make sure each update you have new stuff to show. I tend to post on the polycount slack group for feedback too.
