Hi guys,

I was just wondering if you have any suggestion for a good 3D artist laptop. I've been googling around but can't find any good articles.

My first idea is to get a Dell Precision 7000 with a Quadro M2000M in it but I don't know if a GTX would be better.

I mainly use ZBrush / 3dsmax / Substance / Keyshot.

Thanks a lot,

Julien

Zbrush and Keyshot almost don't need a GPU at all. So, it's probably worth focusing on the CPU for those. GPU matters a bit for Substance Designer and a lot for Substance Painter. Max likes Quadros but game engines don't. Do you use any game engines for rendering (like UE4?)

    Hi Jed,

    Thanks for your reply.

I don't use game engines in my production pipeline but sometimes it happened.
I would like to find a powerful / reliable / Nice design PC to create 3d when I'm on the move. But I always use a second screen as my main screen.

I do have an Asus at the moment. But it's way too big and heavy + Got a lot of issues with the hardrive and boots.

    Thanks,
    Julien
