Mari Problem with paint strokes

Hi,
I ran into this weird problem in Mari and wonder if anyone can help me out. If I paint on a surface dead on then my brush strokes opacity are 0%. If I paint from an angle then brush stroke opacity increases. So when I paint from a really sharp angle then brush strokes opacity are 100%..
