For 6 models, that is exploitation.  2 months of works at that rate is going to get you a teenager living with his parents in India.

    Moderator Warning:

Please do not add any further critiques, unless you are asking questions about the job. This is not the place for crits.
If you don't agree with someone's rates, it is very unprofessional to belittle them for it.
Rates are different across the globe, and across skill levels.
If you want further discussion on rates, start a thread in General Discussion.
    Thank you.

Moderator rightfully states that according to experience you have, and part of the world you are living, there is a market for everything and everyone.

And that being said, I believe it is useful for each and everyone -companies and artists- to have enough information to make an educated idea on the matter.
450$ for 6 Miniatures that is indeed 75$ per miniature.
Given the complexity of the concepts and art style, I would assume this is about 5 days of work per miniature.
This is a daily rate  of 15$.

Based upon my own experience, on the professional market, more complex miniatures require about twice as much time to process, minimal cost for such units is nowadays around 600$ per unit.
Which means a daily rate of 60$.

Closing this thread. Job seekers, feel free to contact the OP privately if you have questions about the role or rates.

If you want to debate a thread publicly, this section of the forum is not the right place for it. This may seem counter-intuitive, as this is a forum after all. However this section is for employers to post jobs.

Polycount does not pass value judgements on job posters nor on job seekers. This is not our role, nor can it be. We do moderate obvious scams or spam. However it is ultimately up to each job seeker to evaluate each job offer, to decide if the terms match their particular needs.

When members are allowed to critique job posts, the ensuing discussions distract everyone from the purpose of the section. Usually this causes the poster to be discouraged from posting future jobs. Again, it is not our place to pass judgement on rates, that is your responsibility as individual professionals.

For the same reason, we discourage critique in the Artists Looking For Work section. Critique is a distraction for employers evaluating the artist, and an annoyance for artists to manage. Clean and to the point is better.

We want to keep things focused on what these sections are for... employers seeking talent and artists seeking work. We feel the employment sections are best for all when they're kept on-topic.

If you wish to discuss the merits of a particular post, make a new thread in General Discussion, and add a link. As long as things are kept professional and within our forum guidelines, we welcome discussion.
