Hey everyone, what's crackin?

I'm planning to remake Stan's Previously Owned Vessels, I want to give it the cartoony feel of the newer games but still stay dark and gritty like the first game.

I'm making this post just to keep me motivated and to keep getting feedback, I am terrible at texturing so that will be a huge focus for me on this. I think I might ultimately try and get it into Unity and have a play with it there too.

So as I go don't hold back with the feedback

So far I just have some scene block outs.

Good luck with this one!:) I just finished Secret of Monkey Island and I love the series. It looks spot on so far, except perhaps you could reduce the empty space between those smaller boats and the hut to make it feel more packed and cozy=) Or just make the hut a bit larger, see which one works:P

Thanks for the feedback, I definitely need to play around with the sizing and spacing a lot more as I go, I can't get the camera angle just right.

Tonight's update, only had a small amount of free time tonight unfortunately so nothing crazy to show, built the grog machine and started on the hut.

It's been a while, work and christmas really got in the way. I got this much in Unity so far, haven't really played with unity before, only dabbled at the coding side of it so I am really lost with it atm but will get stuck into learning how it all works.

Is there a screenshot option in unity?

New update, still more to go, quick question though. I am using Unity and I want to have the Grog machine be a light source and project the logo around it. What is the best way to go about this?

Other things I will be adding is stars in the sky, need to fix the ground, will be adding rubbish and debris around to fill it out a bit more and want to get some light coming out of stans shack. Any other suggestions?

Time for an update, added in the stones to make the ground look better, played with some camera settings and adjusted the skybox.

Going to add in some flyers on the ground, still having trouble with the grog machine glow, played with the emissive maps but to get it strong enough to reflect off other materials you need to turn it up so far that it completely blows out the texture.

I think I am done, few things I haven't been able to figure out with Unity so I might just leave it at this. Still keen for any feedback though.

I love your environment, the atmosphere and aesthetic is great, maybe i miss a ship just for background detail but good job man
