I think i heard UDK somewhere, the font is the same when he kills people. This looks awesome, i'm really liking some of the 1st person gun animations, sound effects are really good to. I'm curious as to what was happening at 2.21 until he got rudely interrupted?

.. Can't help to feel the word "indie" is being tossed around a little bit too loosely. I don't think it means what they think it means. Because if all it means is "independant" then ID Software was indie up until launch of Doom 3.

I really don't understand your point. That's exactly what indie means. ID is an exception to the rule, that doesn't change the fact that HAWKEN is an indie game. So is Minecraft, Fez, And Yet I Moves etc. etc. All Indie Games.

Indie just means self published. Why the hell should it mean anything else? We make millions of dollars yet are still indie, the only difference is we dont throw it around as a buzz word.

fearian -- Don't know if I agree with you but we're ultimately arguing semantics, which won't lead us nowhere. I know what you're saying but somewhere we have to draw the line and I draw the line when you don't actually progress the medium. This is a game trying to be triple-A, not indie. This game intrinsically will be picked up by a major publisher. That's why they are posting these videos. So they stop being indie half-way through development? To me, that is missing the point of being indie. Yes, it's pretentious. Yes, it's silly.
