modo extrude and taper

Dear All,

I would like to extrude a polygon via a curve and I want it to be continuously smaller at its end. Like the maya taper option in the extrude function.

The way I select the end polygon, make a soft selection and resize the and doesn't work beacuse the soft selection selects more vertexes that are closer to each other (at the arc)

So how can I extrude and made taper a polygon?

The answer is to use Falloff modes in modo, look for the linear Falloff. Here's a quick gif

I use maya and I got really envy every time I see modo falloff.
