Greetings PCers;

So I wanted to start this thread for the discussion relevant to the Star Citizen.

Personally for me this game is a good upgrade from EVE online.

Yup, I signed up.

Bought myself an Avenger a while ago. Haven't really kept up to date with the progress of the game though. Briefly played the Arena mode thing. Did see they released a racing video, which looks awesome and something I'll probably get involved in.

Haven't joins a clan, corporation, faction, whatever they call them. But Polycount should definitely have one if there are enough players.

I'll probably be trying to avoid combat mostly, Probably a stealthy bounty hunter or smuggler. This is why I chose the Avenger as its an all rounder with space for cargo/prisoners. And maybe just do some casual resource mining now and again, when times are hard...

I honestly think it's going to be a case of over promising and under delivering, but so far they are hitting their milestones. I'm kinda more interested in Elite: Dangerous though, they actually have a more complete game in beta right now, but I haven't bought either one yet.

I need to bump this since the FPS module is near the release date. Hopefully they dont push it further on and tell us it is going to be released next year or so. Hopefully.

I'm just curious if all these ships they're selling in packs are also for the finalized game? I feel like if they wanted to create a real economy everyone having a super nice ship going into the game won't be that interesting to progress? Def interested, but still waiting for a more complete product

The sheer amount of news, content and general happenings coming out of CIG make it almost impossible to keep up. It really is groundbreaking what they are doing over there though, and Im not just talking about game development but the whole experience so far.

Now I want to play this game. Been looking for good space games but found nothing that got me hooked... not since X-wing VS Tie fighters.

Bought Elite Dangerous but got bored with it pretty quick

I'm not quite sure what Star Citizen wants to be yet. But for Elite:Dangerous, seems it's just a new Privateer 2 game. I want more Eve Online-esqe. I don't want to just fly around, shoot, mine, and trade.

Give me progression !! And not just buy new ship progression.
