DDO no longer recognises projects

so i started a new project in DDO, got about half way through texturing, closed the project, came back later, only to find DDO is no longer recognising the file at all. Any ideas on how to fix this?

yes ive actually purchased the suite, but the nature of my work right now means i have to stick with using the older version of ddo for the short future. any ideas how to fix this?

Sadly the only person who knew legacy DDO here at the office just passed away at the age of 86. No to be serious, legacy is not my speciality, I assume you've tried a restart?

Damn, that was my best move! You haven't moved any of the the sourcefiles?

no. no source files have been changed or moved in an way, literally all that occured was the project was saved, closed, then re opened about an hour later to find it was no longer recognised
