Hey Guys,

We recently updated to the new Maya at work (2016). Now it seems that one little essential doesn't work anymore and I was wandering if any of you guys got a solution for this.

So imagine you have a whole bunch of objects scattered around in space, now you want the pivot of those objects to all snap to the zero plane vertically. So what you do is you select everything, hold d (pivot mode) and x (snap to grid) and drag down with Retain component spacing turned off, and all pivots should align themselves to the same vertical plane.

In the new Maya it seems that the Retain component spacing option doesn't do anything anymore and all the pivots always stay relative to each other.

We could probably fix this by finding a script or looking for a place where you can manually enter the values for all the pivots but this little trick is pretty essential when you are working with large modular environments.
