3ds Max - Default to Lasso & Other Toolbar Startup Settings

I already use a default scene to set things in Max, but there's a few more settings I'd like adjusted on startup which a default scene doesn't seem to do.

For example, the marquee selection defaults to the "Rectangular Selection Region" and I'd like it to go straight to "Lasso Selection Region" instead (I never get much use out of rectangle).

Likewise, I want other toolbar options to default to different things. The pivot I'd like to default to "Use Selection Center" rather than "Use Pivot Point Center." I'd like to make sure my angle snap toggle is on. Etc, and so forth.

I can't figure out how to make Max default to these settings on startup, and google searching has been no help.

Am I missing options to set these sorts of things in the customize menu?

I would look into Maxscript to solve this. You could look at this script as an example, and expand upon it if needed.

You can try a startup script

	--SET SELECTION MODE
	actionMan.executeAction 0 "59235"
	
	--SET SELECTION CENTER
	setCoordCenter #selection
	
	--TURN ON SNAP
	snapMode.active = true
)
