"Render To Texture" window doesn't open

Hello everyone,

I baked a lot of maps via the "Render To Texture" window in 3ds Max.

But out of nowhere I can't open the window anymore. Whatever I do, the Render to Texture window doesn't open. Not by clicking on Render to Texture via the menu Rendering nor by a shortcut.

Anyone else experienced that?

I think its opening but its opening off the monitor.

Close max and open it again but don't load a scene. Instead open the render to texture window (0 is the hot key) and press and hold the windows key and tap the left arrow a few times.

I've heard it happening to users working with dual monitors. Is that the case for you?

Try switching the order of your monitors under display settings in the control panel. Then set them back, works for me.

This should put it in the upper left corner of the primary monitor. You can copy and paste it into the low left of the Max UI, then press enter.

If anything is opening off-screen, hit Win+shift+arrows on your keyboard to move a window to the other monitor. Some windows sometimes open as minimized for me. Use Win+arrows to resize and snap within the same screen.

There is also the good old "alt+espace" > "move" > "press an arrow key" > "move window using your mouse" combo.
