Can't set a blank mask.

After I choose a mask from the color ID I can not go back and set a blank mask again. It just keeps giving me whatever the last CID mask was.

Are you using the stability patch from:

Or is this the regular 1.8 DDO?

If by colour ID you mean you used the square dropdown box (Not Shift+click) in 3do then it might be the same as / related to this bug: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=144357 which the stability update doesn't yet fix. Not that you shouldn't update anyway

Yeah that last one, as I said in his thread is a bug. It happens all the time where I add a new smart material and it shows up in the group when I am not in the group.

As to my bug, I upgraded the release and it is still there.

Bek, I mean when I open the Dynamask Editor and try to switch back to a blank mask. It won't do it.

Anyways still does this. Still not fixed.

Yes but are you selecting a colour id mask through the drop down menu, 3do, or manually in Dynamask? Might be important for reproducing.

Also have you tried in the dynamask editor disabling the Material ID input (or removing the link to that colour ID from the same area in dynamask)? That might be what is going on, the mask is 'blank' but the colour id is still being applied on top of that. As if the 'blank' preset isn't removing the colour id links.
