Right now it still looks horrible but I'm hellbent on finishing it. Right now I'm working on low poly for hard-surface part. The bull needs more work.

doesn't look horrible at all man, keep it up! Haven't seen many crossbows in here or in the comp before so good job at having a crack at something different.

This is looking pretty nice so far, I like that you've kept the functional form of the crossbow too. Love the idea of the bulls head, any ideas yet on how it's going to look stylistically?

ooooh. I honestly don't know yet. I'll see how it goes, I'll probably put some ornament there but my mind keeps going into fantasy direction so I need to discipline it a bit.

My bakes sucked so I had to redo low poly in some places and redo some uvs. Still not satisfied with what's coming from this, I'm in the most difficult phase of the project when I notice only things that suck and I can't get from technical phase to actual texturing. Argh.

I think I will be done with this today and upload to Workshop for further revisions based on people's feedback.

Should have done it sooner, I thought that a submission is final and can't be changed.

Its a cool design but it lacks a little bit of contrast. The wood and the metal all seem to share the same,flat tone and it sorta blends together. At a distance you will lose alot of the details. I think darkening the color of the metal and raising the saturation of the wood as well would help give it some contrast.
