  Ok,finally an update, been very busy lately.
  I decided on character poses and got a rough idea of what kind of background I am going for.

  uh, env rendering is nice! but if you find time, may think about composition again? since we're looking on both chars from the side, same distance, it seems a bit flat. would be a pity. maybe you can focus on one char more (as hero, attacker/ defender) and align composition accordingly?

  Thank you bloecher! Initial idea was to make them look kind of equal, without any character overpowering another, like yin yang balance. But I do agree with you, it did came out a bit flat ( . I will try to find a quick solution for this, but as you said, time is a key word here. Unless I will find a way to keep the poses of characters and not make any major changes to the environment, I might end up with not finished piece (

  hey, cool, you did it in time. now that you mentioned your ying yang idea it makes sense to keep them equal, also the bg really is part of the story.
