Hey guys and gals,

Im back to modeling after a bit of a break. Testing out my skills with this awesome concept by RemoteCrab131 over at deviant art.

Heres my progress so far after a few hours:

The concept doesnt seem to make sense, the barrel is not in-line with the chamber or whatever you call the thing that hold the bullets.

I would also add some chamfers to the model e.g. the top part of the railing.

Joshschmitt - Yea I thought about that too haha. Im just thinking its energy based and Ill put in something where they align. Chamfers are on the way too as well

Not bad. The only thing I feel to critique (aside from what Josh pointed out) is the handle. wong%20handle%20upgrade.jpg

I'm not a gun expert, but I think that where the thumb is supposed to rest on the handle should follow the shape of the hand a little bit more naturally. The way you created it looks like the thumb is going to stay in a very uncomfortable position.

The rest looks cool! I'd say fix the allignment between the chamber and the berrel first, since it is probably the first thing people will notice and then check how gun handles should work around the thumb!

Leon_Raven - Thanks for the help, Ill re-evaluate the grip a little.

Heres an update: Ive got these 4 concepts cause as joshschmitt pointed out it didnt make much sense so I lowered the barrel area and came up with some ideas. Let me know which you like best

its not my business but id recommend spending your precious time on better subjects like real weapons, holding more aesthetic value, challenge and recognize-ability. Even if you model and bake this perfectly, its still a weak design dragging your piece down, just like 95% of concepts
