Never been sure how to do this, as there are not really any tutorials/information about this subject.

Creating tileable textures is actually fully supported in DDO, and a few additional features for this workflow are in the works. Currently there are no tutorials on the subject -- my apologies -- we will make sure to cover this in the next video tutorial.
