[Riot Art Contest] - Olaf (Original Skin?)

Hey guys, can any of you explain to me what they mean about the 3000px resolution in the contest rules? Anyhow I'm doing Olaf just currently fiddling about with some posing and lighting.

whatever program you're using. when you set the size of your canvas...it just has to be at least 3000pixels across. They didn't give anything on the height dimension though.

I aimed for a rectangular canvas like the splash art pages. i did 5000(width) x 3000(height) px myself at 500dpi, which is roughing 10x6inches....

Composition thumbnail, still needs some work, and the posing drawn out abit more advanced, I think I need to make him a tad more broad... Also cant decide what to place in the background of his 'Charge'

After alot of doodling, noodled out this composition which I'm really leaning towards. Attempting to depict Olaf throwing himself against the Winters Claw tribe, not sure how to depict them, so i'm going with generic barbarian dudes.

Hey there nice one. One thing I would point out is be weary about Olaf holding his axes too close toward the blade. Looks like is is going to punch the blade into their heads instead of chopping. Lower down the handle would give a better feeling of swinging/chopping of the axe.
