Student Environment Art Project

This is for my Environmental Art Class. I've decided to try some concept art from Dragon Age: Inquisition. I'm a little nervous because this is the first time I'll be doing Environmental Art, but I'm also excited to be using Unreal 4 & Learning a lot of new tricks.
My goals:
1) Learn the basics of Laying Out a Level in Unreal 4
2) Get a better understanding of UV's & Alphas
3) Make Useful kits
4) Make something I can be happy with to put in my portfolio

There a lot of tougher elements in this environment, especially for a newer artist.

It is possible to nail though, good luck.

Interested to see more, specifically that door.

Focusing on the door might be a very good idea. You could tighten the scene to the area around the door - the main focus of the scene, and then pull back, adding more of the scene as time allows. I think that if you try to accomplish everything in one big-bite, especially with the time constraints imposed in a class, you might end up with very little detail.

Do you have access to ZBrush? You could have a lot of fun creating the rocks in there. I'm sure you have seen this but on the off chance you haven't you should certainly check this thread out for inspiration http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=125857 If you have access to ZBrush ill have a look through my bookmarks and see if I can find some stuff that might help

DWalker's suggestion is a great one, that will certainly help you minimise the risk of not finishing in time.

I think the scope of this is way too large. Dial it back by 80% imo unless you already have some awesome env's under your belt.

Thanks for all of the comments. I do have a copy of Z-Brush and access to the thread will be fairly helpful. here is what I have thus far in a block out for Unreal.
