[Chivalry] - Mason Knight - Chaos Set

Hey folks! I'll be joining the fun with this comp. Here are some initial sketches I've done for the helmet design. I'm still trying to figure out which one I will go with in the end. Though I am leaning towards design number 2 and 3.

Really like the third and fourth. I think the fourth would be the best. The third feels a bit like Shredder from Ninja Turtles.

problem is, it is almost exactly a copy of the dragonbone helmet from Skyrim.

@Magicspook the ones you like were what I was talking about. The first 4 are just 2 with a front side view. But i do agree with you, looks like the dragon bone helmet from skyrim.

oh, so that's what you meant with 3rd and 4th :P I thought you just liked the 2nd helmet from the top, so picture 3 and 4.

I agree that the second perhaps resembles Dragonbone to much. I've incorporated the horns from the second one with the third helmet design.

Also added some sketches of some messer sword designs. I'm leaning towards 1 or 4.

like the concept so far! I'm not sure which sword I'd prefer, but not 2. I generally don't use messer so I'm not even sure how it looks in vanilla.

I think my favorite is the 3, the 2 looks simple and the 1 and 4 are too symmetrical for the messer design.

2 & 3 for the swords is pretty cool, extra silhouette on 3 is nice.

Lucas: good point! 3 really does lend to the asymmetrical of the messer. Thanks!

Here is high poly of the helmet. Let me know what you guys think! I'm probably going to add a symbol of the Mason(eagle) on the back.

Alexd: Thanks! My focus was definately intended for the guard and handle area.

I'm thinking of adding engravings to tie the helmet and weapon together to look like they belong in a set. Here are some reference I've been using.

Just a quick update, most of the baking is done and have been imported into engine.

I'm still debating the engraving at this point, however since we are near the end I should start texturing.
