Need help creating fabric creases on a sofa.

Hi guys, I'm working on recreating this sofa (light blue color) in Maya: http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/pdp/detail.jsp?&pageName=Lyre+Chesterfield+Sofa&catId=HOME-FURNITURE&id=32453748#/

I am completely stuck on how to successfully create the fabric creases - the diamond-shaped ones running along the back of the sofa, folding out from the tufts. I've tried taking it into Mudbox and sculpting it out (using the knife tool, mainly) but it's giving me too harsh of a result. In the Anthropologie pictures above, you can't see the creases very well unless you zoom in. I'm going for a similar result, soft folds that look natural.

Here is a link to my Maya file: https://www.mediafire.com/?4i147roopxk86yx

If anyone could successfully model out one of those creases and show me how it's supposed to be done, that would be fantastic. Thank you!
