First thread and low poly gun

Hello,

i am new posting but i've been following the forum since a long time. I'm stuying 3D for video games at a school. I want to share with you one exercise when we were lerning about baking normal maps. I choose this Mass Efffect gun for the practise, i hope you like it. It has 1000 polys.

Before saying anything else, I'd just like to point out that your presentation isn't doing the model any favours. Avoid using a pure black background. Try a dark grey with some slight blue or orange in it. And try Marmoset tb2 if you want great renders.

I don't really understand why you went so low poly, is your goal to work on mobile games? There's still a lot of optimisation that could be done on the model as well.
Your edges are too tin in some areas. Textures also need work.

Not a bad start though.
