This TV commercial for animal rights organization PETA sets out to convince the audience that they are watching a real-life, emotionally distraught chimpanzee held captive in a dilapidated human environment . It proves that real-life apes should no longer be used by the entertainment industry because their CG counterparts have evolved to the point where they can be realistic enough to act as a replacement.

Tom Bardwell, currently a Senior Lighting TD/CG Lead at The Mill NY, will guide the audience through how Peta was created and what obstacles they overcame along the way. This is a great opportunity to get a lighter’s point of view and see their workflow on how he and the Mill team were able to accomplish the finished look.

August 31st, 2014 :: 12 – 2 pm EST
