insect Plant Need inspiration/help

Hi, I'm working on this personal project. It's very rough and I feel stuck. I don't know how to improve it even though I know it has a very long way to go. Please give me some feed back on what to add. I'm still in the zbrush process and hope to topo it and put it in engine as part of a bigger scene. This plant is suppose to have insect like qualities like the killzone 3 kaznaan jungle but feel more tropical. Here are some pics. Thanks!

I think you should start by looking at actual plants and insects for reference, if you haven't already.

Take a look at crinoids (aka 'sea lilies'); despite their plant-like appearances, they're animals - relatives to starfish and sea urchins.

Some can even crawl - although very slowly.

Sorry for not posting for a while, I was super busy! This is what I have right now. Im going to sculpt the mandible separately and same for the palm leaves. Any critiques and suggestions would be appreciated
