Hey dudes,

here's my version of Walt -- it is WIP, and I'm getting him ready for a print out bust. If anyone has any feedback or suggestions, or any reccomendations for a good 3d printing company and types of materials to use let me know!

things left to do:

--make the mesh 'watertight'
--reproject the fibermesh beard and brows and resculpt it into the head
--try out some different poses
--get him in marmoset with textures/shading

really solid work on the skin. are the skin pores all based on your own custom alpha or something available online where ?
also, may i ask what zbrush material you are using ?

Thanks, glad you like it MM! :poly121: It's a custom one I made based off the basic material, which has an extra layers of spec to it added into the second layer, and also has some subtle noise applied.

I've got a sample video of some of the detail process here. Hope to move onto some full color renders a bit later.

Cant give you any feedback on the 3d since its frickin awesome, but i would go for bronze when printing to get that bronze-bust-look.

Looks ace so far dude! I've noticed in the matcap that it kinda has a subtle pinkish tone near wrinkles and such... How did you get that effect?

Hey dude, it's the 'WaxPreview SSS' feature that can be enabled under Render in the zbrush main menu.. You need to have 'Shadows' enabled by default for it to work. It only works with the Basic Materials. Check it out here -- http://docs.pixologic.com/reference-guide/render/preview-wax/

awesome sculpt, looks pretty spot on and good representation of his character
as for printing companies would check out ownage, they are solid quality

some marmoset progress here. super basic and crude texturing -- he's got a loong way to go, especially with the skin details and adding all his hair. the eye shader is a tricky one in marmo!

I'm hoping once I get his hair accessories in there it will help a lot to finish detailing the other parts and get any larger structural changes in there!. Let me know what you guys think!

Really nice sculpt!

I cant help but think your gamma is really off in your renders or textures, maybe have a check on those
