Barbarian (Portfolio Piece)

I'm creating my final character for my graduation's portfolio. I created the base anatomy in zbrush and did paintovers to get a solid concept to work with. Any feedback at this stage would be greatly appreciated so i can have the ease in the change of direction!

yea i've been laggin in posting WIP pics but here's my progress atm. I have most of the base meshes in zbrush ready to be detailed

and i most likely will smoot hand resculpt the face because i did learn some new techniques at a recent naughty dog workshop that i plan to apply to this piece!

Suba: Thanks! that was actually the trickiest part of the character to make look correctly :P

Really like the design, awesome work! Right now 2 points that I can mention - Firstly, the shoulder piece could probably be exaggerated a little more or have the skull coming out a bit further? Just feels kinda soft and needing something a bit extra to punch out that silhouette.

Secondly, the fur on the back of the cloak and legs, (especially the legs) feels more like melted chocolate than fur... have you taken a look at some references like similar cloaks in Skyrim, etc? Looking forward to more progress!

The fur is honestly my biggest challenge for me so i totally see what you mean! I'll be spennding a good amount of time fixing and polishing that tonight

It might be the angle, but something with his lat muscle and serratus anterior looks a little off. It is almost as if they're pushed too far back. More so the lat. Nevertheless, looking badass so far dude!

thanks! there's definitely room for changes at this stage so i'll look up the area and make the changes necessary
