3D Software resale especially Autodesk Products

Hi everybody,

I'm looking for a company or website which sells 3D second-hand software. Recently this is possible in europe but i can't find any websites or information.

Especially i need 3D Studio Max

AFAIK, there's no concept of "second hand" software. You either have a license or you don't. It doesn't get cheaper just because someone else already registered it.

That said, I know that Luxology and Pixologic allow selling of licenses but I don't know about Autodesk. They are generally not all that flexible on stuff like that.

Autodesk specifically does not. They have actually sued people and sent DMCA takedown notices for people reselling licenses in the past. I know that recently the EU has made some progress on laws regarding reselling software but you're not going to find a company reselling in most cases because then where the fuck is the profit? The most you'll find is some guy selling his license because he's sick and tired of 3D or he changed to another package and figures he'll get some cash.

Yea if your looking to buy Autodesk products, there is only 2 ways to buy...either through Autodesk or via an authorized reseller. No ways around this.

Pixologic is cool with you buying software second hand, but you have to contact them to transfer the license...I think Adobe also used to be like this...but I'm sure that's less likely with Creative Cloud.

I'm not sure why anyone would be a fan of a software company. They buy out competition and then software development stagnates on that program. Softimage use to have big updates every year, since autodesk bought it, it has just gotten view cubes and high quality viewport settings. There would be more development and competition between Max and Maya if they were owned by seperate companies.

Don't bother with Autodesk if you don't have the money. There are free options. Blender 3D and Sculptris are probably the best you can find on a $0 budget. You can get Silo for $109 US right now if that's in your price range.
