Mudbox problem
Everytime i project a stencil on to one area it some how appears on another area is well when i made sure i made the brush size and stencil size i want to suit the area.

you need really clean uvs if you like to paint in mudbox...
no bad overlaps and enough space between the shells and to the uv space border...
if you have a symmetrical mesh with clean overlapping uvs turn on "paint on overlapping uvs" in the prefs...
i had this also in the past...
