plz help me with floating geometry within 3dsmax 2013
i saw a tutorial which used floating geometry but i cant do it myself and i read out somersetting about it in this forum but didnt work so if someone can do it plz tell me

Floating geometry is just a term for geometry that's not connected to the main mesh. It "floats" above it. That's all...

What do you mean by you "can't do it"?

Care to show your work? It's hard to help you without knowing where you have exactly failed. Have you failed in the baking process or there's a tricky shape that needs to be done by floaters?
