Hey Polycount.
I'm working on a model of a character with a plaid shirt. It never really occurred to me before, but I don't think I've ever seen a way in Zbrush to cleanly apply a pattern all over a curved object. I could take it to 3dsMax and apply UVs there, but I'm not really sure how to import with textures to Zbrush. Any ideas? If you have any links to relevant tutorials that'd help too I suppose. Thanks!

I'm no expert in zbrush but I've come across that issue once : I found that with the noise maker you can wrap an alpha around your mesh, even if it's cylindrical. But you do need proper UVs. Once you exported your character inside Zbrush, go to Noise maker / click on UV so it wraps the pattern around the UV, and click on the alpha button on the lower left corner of the Noise maker previz viewport. You can then select the alpha of the pattern you've created and...hopefully it will wrap itself nicely around the object.
