I'd like a few critiques on this given that I scared myself out of shading the whole thing cause at the time this was a real good showing of asymmetrical armoring and posture for me...redo inbound?

not much time to just get a little spirit wisping thing drawn, not much shading cause i still can't make much sense out of shadows where light's hitting vs now there's no shadow and it's a plane...that's on things to practice.

You wouldn't happen to have access to a scanner/photoshop would you? It's a little hard to look at the drawings with all of that camera pixelation getting in the way.

Also photos of drawings in a room with uneven lighting tend to kill your darks and lights, and all that lovely line work.

I was wondering if you're using any reference for your drawings? It's actually common practice for most illustrators to gather a bunch of photo reference so they can better understand the perspective and how lighting would hit the object. I usually start out with a few thumbnail sketches myself and figure out the overall composition, and then start gathering references that fit what I'm aiming towards to bring it along a step further.

I have a scanner though it doesn't like to work all the time. Right now i'm not using much for reference except bits and pieces of previous works if that makes sense. I get a sense of what I liked in past arms and try to take parts to put together keeping in mind how I want the new arm to work of course so i'm not guess drawing.
