Hi im making a backpack for Meepo and the 2 cylinders are goin to be hay sacks is it ok if i leave them like this because they are overlaping? or would i need to merge them? Plzz tell me below

Don't think you want them overlapping though. Technically it's fine but visually it makes a boring silhouette, also it might cause z-fighting which is not a pretty sight.
